Maria Lanier

Secretary

Maria joined the PSEF in 2005 and for the past three years has served as the secretary of the foundation.  Among her responsibilities she processes all the grant applications received from teachers and prepares them for evaluation.  She grew up in Florida and received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and earned a Master’s from Auburn University.  She has lived all over the United States as a military spouse and has served on several spouse organizations.  In addition to her volunteer work with the PSEF, Maria serves on the Gig Harbor Tides Scholarship Foundation as the Development and Funding Chair.  Maria has lived in the Gig Harbor area since 1997 and both her children are graduates from the Peninsula school district.
