The trustees of the Peninsula School Education Foundation are pleased to once again announce that grant applications are now being received for classroom teacher projects. Grants are intended to further the purposes set out in the Foundation’s mission statement to generate support from parents, businesses, and the community to enhance public education in the Peninsula School District. Our goals are (1) To encourage quality educational projects and activities, (2) To serve as a catalyst for public-private partnerships, and (3) To raise awareness of the responsibility that we share for the quality of our local schools.

The Peninsula Schools Education Foundation would like to invite all classroom instructors to submit grant proposals. Typewritten or computer generated documents are strongly suggested.

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2008. Grants will be awarded by December 6, 2008. The project or activity outlined in the grant must be completed by June 30, 2009. Applications that are not complete or are received after the deadline will not be accepted. Applications must be postmarked by October 31, 2008. Mail your application to the Peninsula Schools Education Foundation at P.O. Box 1007, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. An evaluation report is required after completion of the project no later than June 30th, 2009. Photographs are respectfully requested.

Grants will be awarded in the minimum amount of $100, with maximum of $1000. Schools can receive more than one grant and more than one teacher may participate in a single application, however, the amount for a specific project cannot exceed $1000.
